Nobel Systems is proud to announce that it will be attending the Asian Development Bank’s annual Business Opportunities Fair (BOF) this coming October 4 to 5, 2023 at the ADB Headquarters in Manila, Philippines. The 11th BOF is a great opportunity for Nobel Systems to highlight its innovative solutions for water and wastewater management, smart cities, and geospatial data analytics.
The 11th BOF: A One-Stop Forum
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is a regional development bank established in 1966 to foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world. The ADB has 68 members, of which 49 are from the Asia-Pacific region. The ADB supports projects in various sectors, such as agriculture, energy, environment, finance, health, transport, and urban development.
The 11th BOF is organized by the ADB to provide a platform for consultants, contractors, manufacturers, suppliers, and civil society organizations to network with ADB staff and learn about ADB’s operational priorities, policies, procedures, and project opportunities. The 11th BOF also features presentations from ADB’s sector and thematic experts, as well as business-to-business meetings and matchmaking sessions. The 11th BOF is also a great chance to connect with other participants from donors and developing member countries and explore areas of cooperation.
Innovative Solutions and Digital Transformation
Nobel Systems, a leading provider of geospatial solutions for water utilities, is proud to announce that it will be attending the 11th BOF as a registered participant. Nobel Systems has been working with ADB since 2018 on various projects involving geographic information systems (GIS), smart water management, and digital transformation. Nobel Systems aims to highlight its innovative products and services, such as GeoViewer, a cloud-based GIS platform that enables real-time monitoring and analysis of water networks; Smart Billing, a mobile-based billing and collection system that improves revenue generation and customer service; and Smart City Solutions, a suite of applications that enhance urban planning and management.
By attending the 11th BOF, Nobel Systems hopes to learn more about ADB’s strategic priorities and operational plans, especially in the areas of water supply and sanitation, urban development, climate change adaptation, and digital transformation. Nobel Systems also hopes to establish new partnerships and collaborations at the 11th BOF with other participants who share their vision of creating smart and sustainable solutions for water utilities and communities.
Working With ADB
One of the highlights of the 11th BOF is the panel discussion on “Doing Business with ADB”, which will take place on October 4, from 9:20 am to 10:30 am. This session will feature five experts who have successfully collaborated with ADB on various projects and sectors. They will share their best practices, challenges, and tips on how to work effectively with ADB and its member countries.
Among the panelists is Aretha Samuel, the Chief Technical Officer of Nobel Systems, a leading provider of cloud-based solutions for water management, smart cities, and environmental protection. Aretha has over 20 years of experience in designing and implementing innovative technologies that improve the efficiency and sustainability of water resources. She has led several projects with ADB in India and the Philippines.
Aretha will talk about how Nobel Systems leverages its expertise and experience to deliver high-quality solutions that meet ADB’s standards and expectations. She will also share her insights on how to navigate the complex and competitive procurement process of ADB, as well as how to foster long-term relationships with ADB staff and stakeholders.
The panel discussion at the 11th BOF will be moderated by Angelica Alejandro, a Senior Procurement Specialist at ADB. She will also be joined by four other panelists:
Jose Ignacio Peñas García, who is the Director for the Philippines of IDOM, a Spanish firm that offers consulting, engineering and architecture services. He is also the Team Leader for the Metro Rail Transit Line 4 (MRT L4) project in the Philippines, which is funded by ADB.
Namita Mehrotra, who is the Director of National Capital Region Transport Corporation Limited (NCRTC), New Delhi, India. NCRTC is a joint venture of the Government of India and the states of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
Simon Gorman, who is the Managing Director of the Reeves Envico Group. This group consists of specialist infrastructure contractors who have more than 30 years of experience in Australia and the Pacific.
Hero Heering, who is the Key Customer Account Leader for ADB in Mott MacDonald, a UK-based global engineering, management and development consultancy.
Improving Water Management
Nobel Systems is a leading provider of cloud-based solutions for water quality monitoring, leak detection, GIS mapping, and more. The company has been working with the ADB to implement its flagship software, GeoViewer, in several water utility projects in Asia.
GeoViewer is a web-based platform that integrates real-time data from sensors, meters, valves, and other devices with geospatial information and analytics. GeoViewer enables water utilities to monitor and manage their water networks remotely, optimize their operations, reduce water losses, and improve customer service.
One of the projects that Nobel Systems has been involved in is the Lekhnath Water Supply User Committee (LWSUC) in Nepal. LWSUC is a community-based organization that operates and maintains the water supply system for about 40,000 people in the Lekhnath municipality. With the support of ADB and Nobel Systems, LWSUC has installed smart meters and pressure sensors in its network, and deployed GeoViewer to collect and analyze the data. GeoViewer has helped LWSUC to improve its billing efficiency, reduce non-revenue water, and enhance its service quality.
Another project that Nobel Systems has been working on is the City of Chirchiq in Uzbekistan. Chirchiq is a city of about 170,000 people that faces challenges such as aging infrastructure, high water losses, low water pressure, and frequent interruptions. ADB and Nobel Systems have partnered with the city to implement GeoViewer and other smart technologies to improve its water management. GeoViewer has enabled the city to monitor its water pressure and flow in real-time, detect and locate leaks, and optimize its pump operations. GeoViewer has also helped the city to reduce its energy consumption, operational costs, and greenhouse gas emissions.
Nobel Systems is proud to collaborate with ADB and its developing member countries to improve their water management and achieve their sustainable development goals. Nobel Systems believes that GeoViewer and other cloud-based solutions can help water utilities in Asia and beyond to overcome their challenges and provide safe and reliable water services to their customers.
New Partnerships and Collaboration
The 11th BOF is a valuable opportunity for anyone who wants to learn more about ADB’s projects and procurement processes, as well as to network with potential partners and clients. Nobel Systems is looking forward to meeting with potential partners and clients at the 11th BOF and sharing its expertise and experience in delivering innovative solutions for water and wastewater management, smart cities, and geospatial data analytics. Nobel Systems believes that these solutions can help address the challenges and opportunities faced by the Asia-Pacific region in achieving sustainable development goals.
